- Vascular dementia (by 25%)

In fact, evidence shows that 15–30 g of beer per day can help decrease your risk of cardiovascular disease mortality by 25%. What’s more, coronary heart disease risk does down by 34%. The risk for stroke also goes down.
Another study found that beer can slow the decline of good cholesterol, which is also really good for your heart.
3. It’s an Anti-oxidant
Antioxidants have been shown to protect your cells against free radicals. Free radicals have been linked to heart disease, cancer and other diseases. They’re produced when your body breaks down food or when you’re exposed to toxins in the environment.
Hops is a rich source of potent antioxidants called flavonoids. And as you’re probably aware, beer is full of hops. Hops, hops, and more hops.
Beer also has several other beneficial nutrients, including protein, vitamin B, vitamin B12 and folic acid.

Part of this comes from the isohumulones, the bitter acids derived from hops. These activate peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors and can reduce insulin resistance.

Fortunately, there is research showing that beer can help prevent kidney stones from developing in the first place. In fact, one study found that it can lower the risk by as much as 41%.

How many fingers am I holding up? Sure, too many beers may make things a little blurry, but a beer a day has been shown to be great for eye health.
Research shows that drinking one beer per day can significantly reduce your risk of developing cataracts. And by significant we mean as much as 50%! Just don’t overdo it; 3 or more a day actually increases the risk, so again, moderation my friend.
